Hyatt made changes to its guest loyalty program the other year, which saw various new transferrable awards and Milestone Rewards for 150 nights.
These changes transformed the program into a “World of Fraud,” with several forums devoted to selling and bartering these awards for cash or other benefits.

As I had 15 of these Guest of Honors sitting on my account and a friend without Globalist status who would stay at three Hyatt hotels before the end of February, I decided to gift three of the five GOHs that were about to expire.
The gifting process is very straightforward and applies to all these giftable awards.
You only need the recipient’s last name and the World of Hyatt number.
You will also receive an email confirmation that the gift has been sent.
You won’t get any notice if and when your giftee uses the award or not.
But the bonus night posts at the same time the stay is credited to your friend’s account.
Hyatt later sends an email confirmation about this as well.
Many World of Hyatt members have endless awards sitting on their accounts.
Hyatt agents claim that the corporate doesn’t care about fraud because it makes them money.

Conclusion
I don’t know what Hyatt was thinking when it launched these transferrable awards. They have created chaos, widespread abuse, and fraud, and those suffering are the hotels and Globalist members who have earned their status.
There must be perversive incentives for those running the program to create fake “engagement” to boost their bonuses.
At least you can earn some bonus nights by gifting these Guest of Honors that may help you to hit certain milestones.
