AgentFire: Best for affordable, branding-focused websites
Overall Rating:4.9 out of 5
Rating: 4.5 out of 5.
AgentFire’s website builder helps you create gorgeous brand-focused websites that double as highly effective lead generation machines. Their sites are thoughtfully designed and include creative and compelling lead capture tools that boost conversions without feeling spammy.
This brand-first approach helps you stand out in a sea of cookie-cutter website builders with generic designs and overly aggressive calls to action (CTAs.) AgentFire users agree. The platform has an average score of 4.8 on all major review websites — far higher than any other website builder.
We think AgentFire’s website builder can be a game changer for agents, teams and boutique brokerages with tight budgets who need to compete for online leads in competitive markets. While it doesn’t come with a CRM, it offers direct integrations with Follow Up Boss and most popular CRMs. If you already have a CRM you love (who doesn’t?) AgentFire can be an affordable way to build a compelling brand-first website for a fraction of the cost of rivals like Luxury Presence.

Agent Image: Best for high-end custom web design
Overall Rating:4.7 out of 5
Rating: 4.5 out of 5.
Trusted by top RealTrends Verified teams, including the #1 ranked Jills Zeder Group, Agent Image offers everything from award-winning custom designs to entry-level templated websites for solo Realtors. Think of it as a more bespoke version of AgentFire.
Agent Image sites are built on the industry-standard WordPress platform. That means you own your website, giving you endless options for customization. You can swap out your IDX provider, add AI chatbots or anything else your heart desires. Pay-per-click (PPC) lead generation and SEO services are also available to drive qualified leads to your custom-designed site on autopilot.
Their top-shelf custom designs and customization options make Agent Image the ideal website builder for agents, teams and brokerages who need to stand out in fiercely competitive luxury markets. Their most customized, fully supported options don’t come cheap, but pricing is comparable to high-end website builders like Luxury Presence, Union Street Media and Real Estate Webmasters.

Placester boasts a wide variety of website templates and features that offer newer agents exceptional value for money. You get a basic IDX website and CRM for just $84 per month — less than half what our other top picks charge. If you’re not tech savvy, Placester offers concierge setup service for an additional fee.
Placester does come with drawbacks for some agents. Lead generation features are almost non-existent, and there are no integrations to connect your CRM in its most affordable package. Their templates are nice but don’t hold a candle to AgentFire or Agent Image. You get what you pay for. We still think they’re ideal for new agents just starting to build their online presence.
For more experienced agents, we think Placester’s value proposition is less clear. Real Geeks CRM and marketing features are far more useful, and both AgentFire and Agent Image offer superior design and more compelling lead capture. But if you’re new and working with a tight budget, Placester is hard to beat.

Wix: Best affordable DIY website builder
Overall Rating:4.4 out of 5
Rating: 4.5 out of 5.
Wix is an affordable real estate website builder suitable for agents seeking a professional online presence. While it’s not designed specifically for real estate, the sites are easy to set up and offer basic forms to capture leads. SEO capabilities are solid, and the platform is mainly known for its sleek and modern design.
Customization is easy, and since it’s such a popular website builder, there are hundreds of third-party templates available on sites like Envato. It’s also excellent value for money. A basic Wix website is just $17 per month.
The only real drawback is that Wix sites do not have IDX. You can add IDX search to your Wix site using iHomefinder, the only IDX plugin that works on the platform. If you want a website to show off your brand at an affordable price, Wix is a solid choice.

How we chose the best real estate website builders for 2025
To determine which real estate website builders are best for every type of agent, team and brokerage, we researched dozens of products and platforms, weighing the pros and cons of each alongside both quantitative and qualitative data points, including price, special features, design quality, ease of use, return on investment, client support, and customer reviews.
The Vetted by HousingWire editorial team of licensed agents and experienced real estate brokerage and product marketers crawled the web, so you don’t have to. We analyzed a wide sampling of reviews across social media, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and online discussion forums. We watched countless product demos, combed websites and social media groups and applied our own hard-won experience working in real estate.
Real estate website builder: FAQs
What is the best platform to build a real estate website?
That depends on what you are trying to achieve with your website. Most Realtors use a website builder to help them build sites that accomplish three goals:
Market their personal brand
Capture and convert site visitors into leads
Connect to or replace their CRM
Our picks above include options that tick all three boxes, but they often come with a hefty price tag. The best website builder for your business is the one that ticks the most boxes and you can actually afford — without remortgaging your house.
Here’s how to make your decision easier: Decide on your budget, make a list prioritizing your needs and wants for a website, and then narrow down your choices from our picks above.
Here are 7 things to consider when vetting a potential website builder:
Integrations- does it work with your CRM, lead generation or marketing software? If you want fewer headaches, look for a website builder that comes with a direct integration with your software instead of a Zapier integration.
Brand fit- Does the design of the available templates match your personal brand?
Customization options- Can you customize the templates to match your personal brand or your lead generation strategy?
Ease of use- How easy is it to modify the website? For a true picture of how easy a website builder is to use, hop on a demo call with the company and ask them to show you.
CRM + lead generation features- Almost all website builders offer CRM or lead generation features. If you already have a CRM you like, look for options that augment rather than replace it.
Available upgrades- Finally, your website should be easy to upgrade. Switching to a new website builder is a hassle, so it’s best to stick with one for as long as possible. If you have a budget below $200 per month, choosing a website builder that you can upgrade as your business (and your pocketbook) grows is crucial. This is why we love AgentFire. Their entry-level plan is affordable for most agents and they offer dozens of upgrades you can add a la carte.
Do I need to know how to code to use a real estate website builder?
No! Website builders allow you to create and customize a website without coding or even learning how to use a codeless website builder like WordPress. Most come with pre-designed templates that you (or their in-house design team) can customize to match your branding and lead generation goals. You may have to figure out how to integrate your CRM or other software to your new site, but you won’t have to write a single line of code.
Do Realtors even need a website anymore?
In our opinion? Yes. Every Realtor needs a website. Of course, if you ask five real estate experts this question, you’ll get 10 answers. It’s a controversial topic!
Sure, millennial and Zoomer agents might tell you that websites are as dated as maroon blazers and nametags, but we’d bet our last dollar that every single top-producing agent in your office has a website. Why? Because most of the homeowners they work with expect them to. Still not convinced? 73% of agents have a website. The ones that don’t probably aren’t closing many deals.
Today’s real estate website builders offer a compelling shortcut to an online presence at an attractive price for busy real estate agents. Instead of wrestling with WordPress or learning to code, you can have your website up and running in a few hours.
Take the time to choose one that fits your budget, will scale as your business grows and works seamlessly with your current tech stack. Agents on a strict budget will get an excellent ROI from Placester. In contrast, more experienced agents and teams will see the most value from AgentFire for a templated website or a full-service custom website builder like Agent Image.
