Hyatt expanded the number of nights that World of Hyatt members can earn Milestone Rewards from 100 to 150 this year (read more here). Previously, the extra rewards were capped at 100.
I previously reached 100 or more nights in 2021, 2022, and 2023, which were partially due to double elite qualifying nights.

I have noted my plan to eventually get a lifetime Globalist tier (read more here ), as I earn a nice chunk of base points yearly (remember that the requirement is $200K in Hyatt spent). However, this seemed utterly unreachable a decade ago.
My goal with all these programs is not to stay at hotels I don’t like to reach some artificial loyalty program goals. I already decided earlier this year that 150 nights with Hyatt would be entirely out of reach, and it looked like I would end up somewhere around 120 to 130 nights with some credit card nights baked in.
Then, my account was targeted for double elite qualifying nights (max 10) in the fall, and I would end the year somewhere between 130 and 140 nights. I decided to see if I could stretch it to 150 nights for the year.
I wrote about earning elite qualifying nights for Hyatt cobranded cards and how complicated it is to track the qualifying spend:
Hyatt Cobranded Chase Consumer Card & Elite Qualifying Nights For Every $5K (How To Track)
I decided to do a follow-up about the qualifying spend and the 4 nights posted based on my calculations:
The nights from all other promotions and stays for 2024 had already been posted.
And then these 4 nights from the credit card.
Pushed my account to exactly 150 nights for the year.
Soon, there was an email from Hyatt.
I could also choose the 150-night milestone reward.
Conclusion
I somewhat regretted my push to get these 150 nights with Hyatt, as I “had” to stay at two Hyatt hotels that were not my first choice (borderline hate one of them) + had to put one business charge to the cobranded card that would have been better suited for elsewhere.
Perhaps this pain and suffering will be rewarded when I burn that Ultimate Free Night award at one of the Hyatt hotels, which is way overpriced in terms of the number of points required (perfect use of this “Ultimate” cert).
