ClubAvolta, previously known as Red by Dufry, has launched an interesting and free status match from most airline and hotel loyalty programs (read more here).
ClubAvolta is a frequent shopper program for select Duty-Free Stores at airports worldwide. They have teamed up with British Airways, Finnair, and Iberia to earn Avios in select countries. They also partner with Radisson Rewards for purchases made in Switzerland and Sweden, allowing you to earn their points.
You can access Club Avolta’s page for Radisson Rewards here and ClubAvolta’s page for status match here.
ClubAvolta (Previously Red By Dufry) Free Status Match From Most Airline & Hotel Loyalty Programs
Remember that Radisson Rewards is the loyalty program for Radisson-affiliated hotels OUTSIDE of the Americas, which are part of Choice Privileges.
The ClubAvolta’s partnership with Radisson is interesting, as you can also match your ClubAvolta status with Radisson Rewards.
- ClubAvolta Gold to Radisson Rewards Premium
- ClubAvolta Platinum to Radisson Rewards VIP
You need to link the accounts using the ClubAvolta app.
Enjoy exclusive benefits and collect points when you shop in Switzerland and Sweden
Match your Club Avolta membership status with Radisson Rewards to unlock a world of exclusive benefits at Radisson Hotels worldwide. Plus collect 3 points per $1 USD you spend on airport shopping in Switzerland and Sweden.
Club Avolta Gold and Platinum members will be able to match tiers with Radisson Rewards’ Premium and VIP status, so you can enjoy a range of benefits and rewards with every stay including member only rates, free room upgrades, food and beverage discounts, early check-in and late check-out, and more!
You can also collect Radisson Rewards points on your airport shopping in Switzerland and Sweden by linking your Club Avolta and Radisson Rewards accounts. To link your accounts, go to ‘Account’ in the Club Avolta App and click ‘Explore Partners’ – you’ll need your Radisson Rewards membership number.
Collecting Radisson Rewards points from duty-free shopping in Sweden and Switzerland is not that interesting, as 1 Radisson rewards point is worth roughly one-fifth of a cent, and 3 points are worth 0.6 cents each (not a lot).

Conclusion
If you missed the earlier opportunity to get Radisson Rewards status through SAS (Eurobonus status was not even required), this is about as easy. You only need to have a status with one of the long list of programs that ClubAvolta offers matches.
Although the Radisson Rewards points are not very valuable, you can enable the Discount Booster for greater discounts and fewer points, which is a win-win situation.
Some of the Radisson hotels are pretty good, especially in the Nordics, and the prices for the hotels that I stayed at this fall were fantastic. If you ever plan to stay at Radisson hotels outside the Americas and don’t have status with them, you should probably look into this opportunity through ClubAvolta.
