Marriott and Air Canada launched a partnership last year (read more here) that included a tier match between the programDons.
Bonvoy Ambassador and Titanium members are eligible for Aeroplan 25K status, a Star Alliance Silver, that comes with limited benefits that include your opportunity to choose Select Benefits, and Air Canada sent out a reminder of these yesterday.
You can access Marriott’s page for the partnership here.

Aeroplan 25K Select Benefits:
There is not much to choose from here, as I get the lounge access based on my United Premier Gold or Aegean Gold status, both Star Alliance Gold. I am not sure how valuable these eUpgrades are because all other Aeroplan tiers will clear before.
Anyway, I chose the 25% miles credit. If I happen to find myself on a paid Air Canada flight, and I decide to credit there and not elsewhere.
Perhaps these eUpgrades are useful if I take a domestic flight in the economy within Canada when there shouldn’t be a “copay” (read additional fee) to use them, at least not on the shorter flights.

Conclusion
These eUpgrades may come in handy if I find myself in Canada later this year, decide to book one of the economy flights, and win the upgrade lottery.
The lounge access is useful for those who don’t have Star Alliance Gold, which comes with Air Canada lounge access.
It is a good partnership if you are in the Aeroplan ecosystem, as it may make it easier to contact customer service for help with an award redemption.
