Delta Air Lines SkyMiles is one of the few airlines that still offers personalized baggage tags for its elite members to order and attach to their carry-on or checked baggage for ID purposes.
Medallion Members can visit www.deltamedalliontags.com to personalize their bag tags in various ways including adding their name, Million Miler Status, SkyMiles Membership details and more.
Most airlines stopped the distribution of baggage tags entirely or only issue them to their top tier elite members but Delta actually offers a version for all tier levels as low as Silver.
Current Medallion Members can visit www.deltamedalliontags.com and log in with their SkyMiles account to personalize theirs.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any status with Delta on my own, so I checked out what the website displayed when I logged in with my basic account, and the message was “I’m on my way to Silver Medallion”.
Million Milers also get their individual baggage tag if they prefer this design over a status one:
Medallion Members can visit www.deltamedalliontags.com to personalize their bag tags in various ways, including adding their name, Million Miler Status, SkyMiles Membership details, and more.
Every single tier level can select a tag on the website which is then shipped to the designated address:
Delta published this on their news hub as well as on X, but no doubt there will also be an email blast going to members who are eligible to go and select their tags.
3… 2… 1… Happy New Medallion Year!
For Delta’s most loyal customers, the 2025 Medallion Year means new adventures, new memories and new ways to make the most of your Medallion Status.
As one of the most valuable elite status programs in the U.S., Medallion Status is designed to reward you more than ever. Whether a Silver Medallion checking off that bucket-list trip or a Diamond Medallion road warrior simply looking for ways to make everyday travel even more enjoyable, here are five resolutions to help Members make the most of their loyalty this year.
Medallion Members can now select and personalize new, enhanced metal bag tags – the perfect elite accessory to show off as they travel the world. …
Making them out of metal is actually a nice touch as they’ll be sturdy and last longer than the trashy plastic tags that constantly break (hello American, British Airways, Cathay Pacific…).
It’s also nice that Delta included even the lower tier levels and it’s smart. After all how much can it cost to produce something like this and it’s a nice advertisement plus it helps a bit to add a bit of attachment to the brand. Physical membership cards have been discontinued for quite some time already.
Conclusion
Delta SkyMiles members with elite status from Silver and above can go to the designated website and order their personalized baggage tags, which they can then use as they please, either by attaching it to a carry-on bag or checked baggage.
It’s a nice touch they offer this to members of all tier levels. Other carriers only offer it for the top level and I remember times when American AAdvantage had a website where you could pay for individual baggage tags made out of plastic which were then delivered to your home.
Lufthansa offers elegant black leather tags for Hon Circle members, a bit cheaper red ones for Senators and simple plastic cards for Frequent Travelers. British Airways at least used to offer tags but I never got them delivered for like three years now despite requesting them online in the account.
