Apple Music is offering a six-month trial for new and “eligible” subscribers at the price of $2.99, available until February 27, 2025. This promotion applies to customers in the U.S.
Apple Music offers six-month trial for $2.99
Apple has not clearly defined the criteria for eligibility beyond first-time subscribers, so previous users should check the offer page on Apple’s website for qualification status. To redeem the offer, users must access the Home tab of the Apple Music app on compatible devices, including iPhones, iPads, or Macs running the latest software.
After the trial period, subscriptions will automatically renew at the standard monthly price of $10.99 unless cancelled. Apple describes this as the “best offer ever” for the service.

As part of the promotion, Apple Music serves as the official sponsor of the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show, featuring hip-hop artist Kendrick Lamar. The app includes a variety of content related to Lamar’s upcoming performance at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. Additionally, Lamar is highlighted as a featured artist in Apple Fitness+, and Apple News has created a dedicated hub for Super Bowl LIX coverage.
This offer is particularly noteworthy as Apple has rarely provided such deep discounts for its services. The promo page emphasizes: “Switch to Apple Music as a new subscriber and get six months for $2.99. Listen to one of the world’s largest music catalogs, ad-free and with the highest audio quality available.”
Keen users should be aware that this offer does not apply to those who are also eligible for the existing three-month free trial. Apple Music initially offered three months of streaming for free at its launch and later adjusted to a one-month trial.
Following the expiration of the promotional period, users can listen to Apple Music via the app and the music.apple.com website, as well as through various supported devices such as smart TVs and gaming consoles. For those considering long-term use, Apple recommends exploring the Apple One subscription for a cost-effective bundling of multiple Apple services.
