Air France – KLM’s Flying Blue has launched a sale to buy miles at 45% off, valid for purchases made through December 18, 2024.
Flying Blue elite members can purchase up to 300,000 miles per transaction before the possible bonus, and others 100,000. There is no limit on the number of miles elite members can buy yearly.

A Flying Blue mile under the 45% discount offer is 1.38 euro cents each. In late 2022, there was a 120% bonus sale when the price was as low as 1.14 cents. There are 100% bonuses or 50% off sales a few times a year.
You need to click the “Manage my Miles” tab on Flying Blue’s website to see the option to purchase them.

Conclusion
Flying Blue miles come in handy at times (the easiest way to book awards is to use their app). They are also the only way to access Air France’s first-class La Premiere cabin (you need to be a Platinum or Ultimate member), as it is not available using partner programs.
Some business awards are rather competitively priced, and Flying Blue now allows stopovers on awards (read more here).

Discount offer will be awarded on transactions made between 29 November and 19 December 2024, 2359 CET +1.
Miles are sold in units of 2,000 Miles up to 100,000 Miles, and in units of 25,000 from 100,000 to 300,000 Miles. Elite members may purchase an unlimited number of Miles, while Explorer members may only purchase or receive up to 100,000 Miles in any calendar year, unless a promotion is active in which case it is possible to either purchase or receive Bonus Miles on top of the 100,000 Miles.
