Marriott has sent surprise gifts to select Bonvoy members (I assume this is only for those with cobranded cards).
You should check if there is an email from Marriott with an egift card that expires on December 31, 2204. A reader got a gift card with $50 loaded.

This is a nice gesture from Marriott to select members. Last year, if you had one of the Bonvoy cards, you could buy Marriott gift cards at a discount.
As we have covered here on LoyaltyLobby, these gift cards are a bit of a pain to use. Most front desk agents have absolutely no idea how to apply them to the folio, as they need to use an internal system to withdraw the funds.
