There has been quite a bit of point inflation in the Marriott land recently, as it wasn’t long ago when you could get 5 nights at any Marriott-affiliated hotel for 240,000 points or less when now standard award nights can go up to 357,000 points per night.
Marriott increased the standard award night cap to 236,000 per night in January (read more here), but these awards at the soon-to-open Ritz-Carlton in Kenya increased this by more than 120,000 points.

I stayed at the sister property of this Ritz-Carlton in Masai Mara in December 2023, when the award pricing was far more reasonable.
Good luck finding many Bonvoy members who can pay 1.4M for a five-night stay (the fifth night is free). Does this make any sense at all?
You are supposed to do one or two game drives daily, so the time you spend at the base camp is not a lot.
