Lingopal.ai has secured $14 million in Series A funding, led by DCM Ventures with participation from Scrum Ventures, Marquee Ventures, and angel investors. The investment will support global expansion and further development of its AI-driven speech-to-speech translation technology.
Businesses seeking to communicate with international audiences often face high translation costs and limited accessibility to human translators. Real-time multilingual broadcasting remains a challenge due to the lack of scalable, automated solutions.
Lingopal.ai offers a no-code, plug-and-play translation platform, enabling companies to translate live audio streams into over 120 languages within seconds. The technology provides an alternative to human translators by delivering low-latency, high-accuracy translations for industries such as news, sports, and live events.
AI-driven translation in the sports industry
Sports broadcasting represents a $56 billion market opportunity, with 87 of the top 100 most-viewed TV programs in 2024 being sports events. Lingopal.ai’s speech-to-speech engine allows broadcasters to instantly translate live commentary into multiple languages, helping them expand their audience reach.
Kelly Cheeseman, chief operating officer of AEG Sports, LA Kings, highlighted Lingopal’s impact on live sports translation: “Lingopal.ai has allowed us to translate live German commentary into English for our DEL hockey team, the Berlin Eisbären, in real time for North American broadcasts. We have been highly impressed by Lingopal’s capabilities.”

Scaling real-time translation with AI
Lingopal.ai’s proprietary AI models achieve high accuracy with less than two seconds of latency, outperforming traditional translation methods. The platform’s ability to preserve emotional nuances, interpret slang and idioms, and process industry-specific jargon sets it apart in the market.
Hurst Lin, general partner at DCM Ventures, said: “Lingopal.ai’s real-time, high-accuracy translation across 120+ languages is transforming global live content industries like news and sports. Their impressive technology and rapid growth made this a compelling investment.”
Founded in 2023 by Deven Orie and Casey Schneider, Lingopal.ai’s leadership draws from experience at Microsoft and Tesla in building low-latency AI infrastructure. The company plans to use its new capital to:
- Enhance real-time AI translation capabilities
- Improve speech-to-speech processing for live content industries
- Expand into new global markets
“This funding will accelerate our mission to break down language barriers and connect the world in real time,” said Deven Orie, founder and CEO of Lingopal.ai. “We envision a future where language is no longer a barrier, and Lingopal is at the forefront of making that a reality.”
Lingopal.ai has doubled its workforce in the past three months and is on track to double again by April 2025 as it scales its AI-driven speech translation platform.
