Marriott launched its first Bonvoy points sale in 2025. The offer includes a 45% bonus and an increased limit that is valid through March 30, 2024.
You can usually buy up to 100,000 points during the calendar year (twice if you also utilize the award booking process), and sometimes, like now, the limit is increased to 150,000 for all or some members.
You can access this offer on Marriott’s website here.

Does Buying Points Make Sense?
Purchasing points can be advantageous, particularly if you redeem Marriott points for free night awards and take advantage of the fifth-night free promotion, which can result in significant savings.
While Marriott has transitioned mainly to dynamic award pricing, there are occasional redemption opportunities—especially at higher-end properties—that make purchasing points more economical than paying cash rates.
Additionally, Marriott partners with numerous airlines, some of which do not sell miles directly but allow conversions from Bonvoy at a 3:1 ratio. Plus, you receive a bonus of 5,000 miles when converting 60,000 points to 20,000 miles.
Points can also be purchased (up to an additional 100,000) through the award booking process:
