Cathay Pacific has neither officially confirmed nor denied, yes – we have tried, whether there are lowered renewal requirements in place for those renewing their status in 2025 for 2026, but likely there are, as customer service has communicated to some members.

A reader dropped us a note that Cathay Pacific customer service had confirmed that members would be renewed at the following Status Points levels.
- 1100 points Diamond
- 550 points Gold
- 275 points Silver
Although we have not been able to confirm these status-level requirements with Cathay Pacific, they are very believable.
