Marriott updates the terms and conditions of its guest loyalty program, Bonvoy, monthly, and a February 2025 version is now available.
The latest update deals with the Trailborn brand, with which Marriott signed a deal in December (read more here) to be part of its outdoor collection + buying points.

Trailborn
Trailborn Properties (individually, a “Trailborn Property”) participate in the Loyalty Program. A list of Participating Trailborn Properties and effective dates of participation can be found here.
(1) Points or Miles may be earned for reservations booked through Marriott Channels. Points or Miles may be earned for reservations booked through the Trailborn support team, a Trailborn Property, or https://www.trailborn.com/↗ (each a “Trailborn Channel”). For reservations booked through a Trailborn Channel, Members must contact the Trailborn support team or the Trailborn Property to ensure their Account Number is added to the reservation by time of check-in for the Stay. All Award Redemption Stays must be booked through a Marriott Channel.
(2) Points or Miles may be earned as described in Section 2.
(3) Members may redeem Points as described in Section 3.
(4) Members may receive benefits at Trailborn Properties as defined in Section 1 and 4, except for the following: Member Rates, Gift Shop Discount, Guaranteed Lounge Access, Nightly Upgrade Awards, and 48-Hour Guaranteed Availability.
(5) Trailborn Properties participate in Marriott Bonvoy Events as described in Section 5.
You can also book these Trailborn properties directly through them, and they are eligible for Marriott Bonvoy points and benefits. However, you need to let Trailborn know your Marriott Bonvoy number.
Trailborn properties are also part of the Ultimate Reservation Guarantee.
Platinum and higher members are also eligible for the Welcome gift above, and there is a separate one for Gold members.
It is also part of the guaranteed room type.
Points Purchase Limit
Members may purchase Points for themselves or as a gift for another member for a combined maximum of 150,000 Points per calendar year if purchased through the Buy Points Storefront↗ or Gift Points Storefront.
Marriott has increased the yearly limit of buying points from 100,000 to 150,000.
Conclusion
There are no too drastic changes this time, but rather the integration of these Trailborn properties into the Marriott system and an increase in the yearly point purchase limit.
