Marriott Bonvoy tends to run targeted bonus offers every few months, which it adopted after folding SPG into the combined program.
The global promotion should start next month, but Marriott has rolled out a new set of targeted bonus offers that are valid through April 30, 2025.

Note that there are often targeted offers out for bonus points and sometimes free night certificates, so it does pay to check your Promotion Center occasionally.

Conclusion
You tend to be eligible for one of these targeted bonus offers once every 12 months, but some have reported never qualifying for one. Once, I was able to register two in one calendar year.
