CoreWeave, a specialized cloud provider focusing on AI and describing itself as “the AI Hyperscaler™,” and Bulk Infrastructure, a Nordic provider of sustainable digital infrastructure, have announced a partnership to establish a major NVIDIA AI computing cluster at Bulk’s N01 Datacenter Campus in Vennesla, Norway. The companies claim this will be one of the largest NVIDIA AI deployments in Europe.
Expanding AI compute capacity with NVIDIA GB200 NVL72
The core of the partnership involves CoreWeave deploying a large-scale NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 cluster at Bulk’s Norwegian data center. This cluster will be interconnected with ultra-fast NVIDIA Quantum-2 InfiniBand networking. The deployment is intended to significantly enhance AI compute capacity in Norway and the broader European region, and is slated to be operational by Summer 2025. This initiative is part of CoreWeave’s previously announced $2.2 billion investment in expanding its European presence, with a focus on building new data centers powered by 100% renewable energy.
The N01 Datacenter Campus is strategically located in Southern Norway’s Agder region, near Kristiansand. Its key advantage is its proximity to one of Europe’s largest transformer stations, providing direct and redundant connections to multiple hydropower stations. This ensures a supply of 100% renewable energy. Bulk Infrastructure has secured 400 MW of power at the 300-hectare (3km²) site, with the potential to scale up to 1GW.

“We’re excited to partner with Bulk to further expand our regional footprint and capacity in Europe to support the growing need for AI and high-performance computing across the region,” said Mike Mattacola, Chief Business Officer of CoreWeave. He emphasized Bulk’s commitment to sustainability, future-proof infrastructure, and scalability as key factors in the partnership.
Jon GravrÃ¥k, CEO of Bulk Infrastructure, stated, “Working with a globally renowned AI-company like CoreWeave marks a significant milestone for Bulk. Securing an AI deployment of this size demonstrates our capability to meet the needs of our major customers.” He highlighted the N01 Datacenter Campus’s suitability for demanding AI workloads.
Jaap Zuiderveld, Vice President EMEA at NVIDIA, also commented on the partnership: “We need partners like Bulk building the latest large scale liquid ready AI data centers and CoreWeave building and deploying leading AI infrastructure to satisfy the needs of our customers across Europe.” He described the deployment as a significant step in scaling advanced AI compute capacity in one of Europe’s most sustainable locations.
Karianne Tung, Norwegian minister of digitalisation and public governance stated: “The goal of the Norwegian government is to establish a national infrastructure for AI towards 2030. Norway being selected as one of the host countries for CoreWeave’s expanded AI-infrastructure in Europe, shows we are attractive internationally as a location for high quality data center-services.”
