Hilton has been developing and rolling out a new PEP (Property Engagement Platform) system. The goal is to have it all properties by sometime in 2026 when the plan is to sunset the tried and tested Hilton specific OnQ (many full-service properties also use Opera).
It seems that this HotelKey developed PEP might be renamed Prodigy or it is just an additional component to manage back-of-house operations.

The Prodigy will be used to merchandise various aspects of your stay from late check outs to pet fees.
New Standardized Guaranteed Late Check Out Fees:
Hilton plans to standardize CONFIRMED late check out fees at all their properties.
These fees above are without taxes, so the actual amount is likely 10% to 15% more. You can buy the late check-out as an add-on during the booking process or using the app up to 72 hours before the stay.
Hotels can close this or make it only available on certain days, but the default available number has been set at 20 at full-service hotels and 10 at select-service properties.
The late check-out benefit has been removed from the benefits posters that Hilton provides hotels with, and it was already removed from Hilton’s elite benefits matrix a while back.
Late Check-out
Late check-out must be requested and is subject to availability.
It is still, however, noted on the Hilton Honors T&Cs, and also on the app if you look at tier benefits at each level:
Late check-out is a GUARANTEED benefit with Hyatt and Marriott (resorts and convention properties excluded), and space available at IHG, like currently with Hiton.
Conclusion
I am sure that hotels would love to have ala carte pricing with several variable components, like what airlines have done for years. You can think of all possible combinations, from early check-in to late check-out, and why not throw in daily housekeeping into the mix as well?
You have to remember, however, that late check-out has NEVER been a confirmed elite benefit with Honors, and it is unclear how late the space-available benefit currently can be.
I have not had much pushback leaving late if I need the room or suite for a few hours after the official late check-out time, but then I tend only to stay at Hilton’s full-service or luxury brands.
Let’s see what other stay components Hilton tries to sell via its add-ons come 2026.
