Turkish Airlines has been steadily improving and expanding its lounge network, and the most recent addition just opened at Tokyo-Narita Airport, Terminal 1, in early February which I finally got to visit last week.
Turkish Airlines customers, Star Alliance Business/First Class passengers & of course Star Alliance Gold customers on an eligible flight.
With the opening of this lounge there is now finally a new facility in the extended “finger” gate area that once used to house a separate ANA Suite & Business Class lounge. Now Turkish has taken that space.
The designs are almost similar, aside from a few TK Logos:
As you can see here, the seating area is completely identical to what it was under ANA (this used to the their First Class lounge).
Likewise the self serve dining area:
The cold snacks and beverages are basic and, once again, almost identical to what ANA has in their Business Lounge. The difference is the Turkish coffee and tea.

You can also utilize the underground connector tunnel to go straight from the ANA Lounge to the Turkish Lounge without running through the whole terminal, where you’d pass the United Club.

While I know some people who get a kick out of jumping all over the airport just to visit an extra lounge, to me less is more and I won’t add extra stress to my travel day for something like this. But it is possible if your flight departs in that area (such as Thai Airways or Asiana on the A380).
The lounge is located in Terminal 1 South Wing, Satellite 4, Gate 47.

This is rather special after many lounges, including ANA’s second lounge area in the extended concourse where many Star Alliance aircraft depart, shut down during the pandemic, and never reopened. Now the United Club is the only option on the way over there or utilize the tunnel as I outlined above. This takes ~ 10 minutes on foot.
Many of the foreign TK Lounges signed up for the Priority Pass system shortly after opening, so it will be interesting to see if the Narita lounge follows suit and will also be accessible with PP in the near future. However, as of right now, they don’t participate.
Conclusion
In early February, a new lounge opened at Tokyo’s Narita Airport as Turkish Airlines unveiled its most recent international airport club facility. I had a chance to visit that lounge last week, and it’s in a very nice location with excellent views of the tarmac and gate area. Experienced NRT flyers will remember this lounge as the former ANA Suite Lounge space.
This new lounge in Tokyo is just its seventh outside of Turkey and the second in Asia. It adds to its international portfolio in Bangkok, Miami, Moscow, Nairobi, New York, and Washington-Dulles Airport.
The location is in satellite building number four at NRT Terminal 1. It’s probably not a spot where you’d randomly go or pass by unless your flight departs there. Have you visited this lounge yet?
