WhatsApp is developing a threaded replies feature that will group replies to specific messages, making it easier for users to track conversations. This functionality is currently under development and will be available in a future update.
Details on the threaded replies feature
According to WABetaInfo, the new feature, identified in WhatsApp’s Android beta 2.25.7.7 update, will create a dedicated view that connects replies back to the original message that initiated the thread. This development aims to reduce the confusion typically associated with scattered individual replies in lengthy discussions.
The threaded replies feature is expected to be compatible with individual conversations, group chats, communities, and channels. However, the capability to reply to messages in channels remains under development.
A preview screenshot shared by WABetaInfo illustrates how the threaded messages will appear. The interface displays a full-screen pop-up showcasing several user replies in a group discussion. Users will be able to tap on any quoted message to view all subsequent responses within that chain, though the original responded message may not be displayed in the threaded view.

There’s currently no timeline for when this feature will be available to all WhatsApp users. WhatsApp has been contacted for additional information, and updates will be provided if received.
